Audi TT Quattro Sport Concept Powertrain Will Remain As That

When Audi showed off the Audi TT Quattro Sports Concept a few years ago, they hinted that they will be working to bring the engine into the market soon but it looks like that is not going to happen now.

According to Stephen Reil, the engineering boss of the Audi Quattro GmbH division, Volkswagen Group has decided to stop developing the engine for production. The 2014 concept was powered by a 2.0 liter four cylinder diesel engine and was delivering about 420hp.

While it is sad to now that Audi has decided to give up on it, other are saying that it is not going to matter since the current engine under the TT RS can already deliver up to 400hp thanks to its new five-cylinder engine so there is really no need for this. The engine will only need 3.7 seconds to go from 0-62mph.
