Audi A7 To Match Porsche Panamera In Future

The 2017 Porsche Panamera will be coming in with a new engine this time around. The engine was announced at the Vienna Motor Symposium this week and it is believed that the engine will also make its way to some of the Audi’s in the future.

The new engine is a twin-turbo V8 engine that will be delivering about 549hp and 567lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to an eight-speed dual clutch transmission.

According to Porsche, the engine will be consuming 30% less fuel compared to the previous engine. It has also been optimized for hybrid application so we might see the engine get paired with an electric motor in the near.

The arrival of the new engine will spell the end for the 4.8 liter V8 that Porsche is offering right now. Porsche also added that the engine might be offered on the Audis as well so we might be able to see the Audi A7 come in with the new engine.
