Apple Watch vs Samsung Galaxy Gear: The Right Device For Your Wrist Is…

Earlier this month, Apple launched the all-new Apple Watch and it is the first ever wearable to come from the Cupertino-based company. However, the limelight on the Apple Watch was soon disrupted after Samsung released the all-new Galaxy Gear S. Today, we will identify the better smartwatch.

The latest Galaxy Gear S is nothing like other Galaxy Gear devices from Samsung. It is designed like a wristband and this is achieved through utilizing a curved display. There is only one button for the device and it rests underneath the Galaxy Gear S. The smartwatch is also bigger and thicker than the Apple Watch.

The latter, on the other hand, adopts a rectangular clock face that comes with a Digital Crown attached at its side. The feature allows users to scroll and zoom the contents displayed on the screen.

While Samsung might use the Android OS for its smartphones, the Galaxy Gear S runs on something different. It is the Tizen system, developed by Samsung itself and has many similarities with an average smartphone. Users can pull down the notification bar to see battery status, connectivity and many more, just like the Android OS.

Meanwhile, Apple developed the Watch OS for the Apple Watch. Like how the Tizen is super similar to the system on smartphones, the Watch OS is near identical to the iPhones’ iOS. This can be seen with the apps on the Watch, which is listed in mosaic and users can zoom in and out of the app page.

Regardless, both smartwatches are built to tell the time, push notifications and also, various health-related functions. It seems that there is no way to single out a winner in this contest as both devices are equally great. However, we feel that the Galaxy Gear S is better due to its splendid design.
