2018 Volvo XC40: China Favored For Debut

Since Volvo belongs to a Chinese company now, it made sense that they would want to show off their new model in China first before they debut it to the rest of the world. It has been revealed that instead of showing off the Volvo XC40 at the Geneva Auto Show like expected, the Volvo XC40 will be making its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show.

The 2018 Volvo XC40 is expected to come powered by a 1.5 liter three-cylinder engine that will be delivering about 180hp. There will also be a 1.5-liter plug-in hybrid engine that will be offering about 254hp and a 2.0-liter turbo four engine that will be delivering about 240hp.

The new 2018 Volvo XC40 will be sitting in between the new Volvo XC90 and the Volvo XC60. We will learn more about it when it makes an appearance at the Shanghai Auto Show happening in April this year.
