The Toyota Supra is no longer a dream since Toyota has already made it very clear that they are working on a new Toyota Supra with the help of BMW but nobody knows if there is ever going to be a Mazda RX-9.
Mazda has indicated time and time again that they are very interested in making the Mazda RX-9 a reality but they also added that it will only happen if they have the right rotary engine to offer.
We know that Mazda is working on a new rotary engine right now but nobody knows if it is going to work out at the end of the day. If it does not, we can forget about seeing the Mazda RX-9 come in to compete with the new Toyota Supra.
The upcoming Toyota Supra will be powered by a 3.0-liter twin turbo V6 engine that will be offering 400hp. It is said that the Mazda RX-9 might get a 1.6-liter Skyactiv-R engine that will also be offering about 400hp.
