2018 Jeep Wrangler Won’t Be Playing The Catch-Up Game

We have seen how a slow production rate can affect the success of a certain model and it looks like FCA is not going to let that happen to their Jeep Wrangler.

Their current Jeep Wrangler plant in Toledo has a capacity of 240,000 yearly. To make sure they are able to meet the demand of their customers, FCA has announced that they will be upgrading their Toledo plant.

By investing about $700,000 million into the plant, FCA is hoping that they can increase the plant’s capacity from 240,000 to 450,000. Although it might be able to pump out 450,000 units a year, the plant will only be making about 350,000 units of the new Jeep Wrangler. The rest of the plant will be used to manufacture the upcoming Jeep Wrangler base pickup truck.

The upgrade has also help created 700 new jobs at the Toledo plant.
