2018 Jeep Wrangler: Weight Alone Won’t Be Enough

To improve the fuel economy and performance of the vehicle, we find a lot of automakers opting to replace some of their parts with aluminum parts to take off some of the extra weight but reducing the weight alone is not going to be enough and it is clear that the Jeep Wrangler knows that as well.

To improve its fuel economy, Jeep announces that they will be replacing some of its parts with new aluminum parts but besides that, 2018 Jeep Wrangler will also be coming in with an EcoDiesel engine option.

Besides the six speed manual transmission, the Jeep Wrangler will also be getting an eight-speed auto transmission. Spy shots also reveal that the 2018 model will be getting an upgraded design that is more aerodynamic than the previous model.

All of that combined should help improve the fuel economy and performance of the Jeep Wrangler significantly.
