2018 Hyundai Elantra: Performance First-Timer

Hyundai has been offering their N-badge model for some time now. Those performance model never made it into the US but that could be changing soon as Hyundai hint that they are working on an N-badge model for the US and Korea.

While a lot of people were hoping that we would see the i30 N hot hatch here in the US, it will most likely be getting the Hyundai Elantra with an N badge instead. Well, that is still better than nothing.

The N-Badge model should be powered by the 2.0 liter turbocharged four cylinder engine. The same engine under the hood of the i30 N model could deliver close to 260hp and 300hp and will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Those looking for more can even opt for the performance package.

The current Hyundai Elantra comes with a 1.6 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be offering about 200hp only.
