2018 Ford Mustang GT500: No Fear For Upgraded Corvette

By  |

With what the Ford Mustang GT500 will be offering when it arrives, there is really nothing to fear about the upcoming Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 model.

Chevrolet announces that they will be working on a new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 model that will come with an upgraded engine which will allow the vehicle to come with better performance but even with all the upgrade, the Corvette ZR1 will not even come close to what the Ford Mustang GT500 will be offering.

The new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will be able to offer about 700hp when it arrives. That is 50hp more than what the current Chevrolet Corvette is offering. While that sounds impressive, the upcoming Ford Mustang GT500 will be pushing out about 800hp which is way more than what the Corvette will be offering.

In fact, the Mustang GT500 is not the only model that Chevrolet will have to be worried about. Dodge is also looking to upgrade the Challenger SRT Hellcat and the current model already pushing out about 707hp.

You’re forgetting that the Corvette is lighter, better balanced, and more aerodynamic. There’s no way the GT500 or an upgraded Hellcat will be able to compete. And besides, we don’t know for sure what the power numbers will be. Many are saying the ZR1 could be over 750hp. Plus either way, the ZR1 will kill any competition on a race track. The C7 handles way better than any Mustang ever will.

Ha, a 2010 Grand Sport beats a 2010 550 HP GT500 in every single metric:

    500 lbs of extra weight!

Let’s see a GT500 get within 5 seconds of a Z06 on Laguna Seca or Willow, then talk smack about a ZR1.
