2017 Toyota Highlander vs GMC Acadia: Pick One Winner

Not everybody is a fan of the whole chrome design that the GMC Acadia has going on. Those looking for an alternative should be looking at the Toyota Highlander but if we put the looks aside, which model do you think is the better model?

The GMC Acadia runs on a 2.5 liter I-4 engine that will be offering about 194hp and 190lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed auto transmission and will be returning about 21mpg in the city and 26mpg on the highway. The Acadia will come fitted with features like an 8inch display screen, dual skyscape sunroof and more.

The Toyota Highlander, on the other hand, will come running on a 2.7 liter inline 4 engine that will be offering about185hp and 184lb ft of torque. There is also a 3.5 liter V6 engine option that will deliver about 270hp and 248lb ft of torque. The base model will return about 20mpg in the city and 25mpg on the highway and will come with features like dusk sensing headlights, glass breakage sensor, emergency brake assist and more.

The GMC Acadia will retail for $29,995 while the Toyota Highlander will retail for $40,228.
