2017 Toyota Highlander Hybrid – Why Look At Prius?
The Toyota Prius might be a lot more fuel efficient now but some people just can’t seem to get over the ugly exterior design that the Prius has to offer right now. If the looks of the Prius really bothers you, well, you might want to consider the Toyota Highlander Hybrid.
Unlike the last model, the 2017 Toyota Highlander will be getting the electrically assisted powertrain on more trims in the lineup. The Toyota Highlander Hybrid will be powered by a 3.5 liter V6 engine that will be offering about 295hp and 263lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to an eight-speed auto transmission and will be paired with an electric motor. The hybrid engine will be offering a total of 306hp. All hybrid model will come with the all-wheel drive system.
Customers will now be able to get the Toyota Highlander Hybrid option for the LE and XLE trim. The LE Hybrid model will retail for $37,210 while the XLE Hybrid will retail for $42,270 which means it will be cheaper for you to get the hybrid model instead of the Limited and Limited Platinum model.
The 2017 model will also be fitted with new safety features like backup camera as well as Safety Sense P driver-assist suite.
