Those looking for a sportier Nissan Sentra only had the Sentra SR to choose from and that will only get you a car that looks like it is faster than the standard model but in reality, it is not and because of that, the Nissan Sentra has failed to capture the hearts of the performance fans but the new addition could help change all that.
Nissan announces that they will now be offering a new Nissan Sentra SR Turbo model. Unlike the other version, the SR Turbo will be fitted with a repowered turbo engine so that their customers will be able to get more out of it.
Under the hood if a 1.6 liter Direct Injection Gasoline Turbocharged engine that will be offering about 188hp and 177lb ft of torque. The standard model currently offers about 124hp and 125lb ft of torque.
The engine will also come with both a six-speed manual transmission option and a CVT auto transmission option. The new Sentra SR Turbo will be arriving next month.
