The Volvo XC60 will have tons of rivals when the new model arrives but people would never really consider the Mazda CX-5 as being a real threat to the Volvo XC60 until now.
We know that Mazda have been trying to push their Mazda CX-5 towards the premium market and while they are not really there yet, it is clear that they are making some progress towards to premium market.
The 2017 Mazda CX-5 will be coming in with an upgraded exterior. The vehicle will be fitted with a slimmer set of headlights and a more aggressive front. Mazda also added in a new head-up display as well as a 4.6inch color TFT liquid crystal unit.
Under the hood is a 2.0-liter engine that will be delivering about 155hp. Mazda will also be offering a few other engine options including the 2.5-liter engine that will be offering about 184hp as well as the new 2.2-liter SkyActiv-D engine is designed to meet the emission regulation here in the US.
The vehicle will be released in Japan first before making its way to the rest of the world.
