Despite being one of the most popular off-roaders in the market, the current Jeep Wrangler is not the best selling Jeep in the market right now but that might change once the new Jeep Wrangler arrives.
One of the reasons why the Jeep Wrangler was never on the top was because of its slow production rate. Jeep just couldn’t meet the demand of their customers and that has affected the sales of the Jeep Wrangler.
To make sure the same thing does not happen to them when the new model arrives, FCA has announced that they will be investing about $700million to upgrade the Toledo plant.
After the upgrade, the plant will have a capacity of 450,000 but Jeep will only be cranking out 350,00 yearly. The rest of the plant will be working on the Jeep Wrangler base pickup truck.
