The engine will be mated to a six-speed auto transmission and will be returning about 18mpg in the city and 25mpg on the highway. Compared to the Mazda CX-9, the Hyundai Santa Fe’s third row is also more spacious.

The Mazda CX-9 will be powered by a 2.5-liter I-4 engine that will be delivering about 227hp and 310lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed auto transmission.

The base Hyundai Santa Fe will retail for $29,335 while the Mazda CX-9 will retail for $29,833.
