2017 Honda CR-V Won’t Follow Pilot

Initial rumors suggested that the 2017 Honda CR-V will be heavily based on the Honda Pilot but it looks like that won’t be the case. Instead of the Honda Pilot, the Honda CR-V will be looking at the Honda Civic for design inspiration and more.

It is believed that the Honda CR-V might be borrowing some design features from the Honda Civic. Spy shots also revealed a new grille in the front as well as a new set of headlights and taillights.

The 2017 Honda CR-V will also be riding on the Honda Civic platform which will allow Honda to also offer a third-row seat.

The engines have not been reveal yet but it is believed that the vehicle could be powered by a 1.5 liter VTEC Turbo engine or a 2.0 liter VTEC Turbo engine. The 2017 Honda CR-V might be making its debut at the LA Auto Show later this year.
