2017 Honda CR-V Spy Shot Reveal Design Direction

Before Honda release the Honda Civic, most reports seem to suggest that the Honda CR-V will be coming in with a new design that will be based on the Honda Pilot but it looks like we got it all wrong.

Spies have already spotted the Honda CR-V getting tested out in the open. Although the vehicle was heavily covered in camo stickers, some of the features like the grille and lights design can still be made out and it is clear that the new Honda CR-V will be based on the Honda Civic instead of the Pilot.

The grille, headlights, and taillight match what Honda has to offer on the Civic. That means the CR-V will most likely be riding on the same Civic platform as well. If that is the case, the Honda CR-V could be sporting a 1.5 liter VTEC Turbo engine or a 2.0 liter VTEC Turbo engine when it arrives.
