We won’t be upset if the Honda CR-V does come with a new design based off the Honda Pilot, in fact, we would be pretty happy with that decision but that was before were knew that Honda plans to base on the CR-V on the Honda Civic.
As much as we like the Honda Pilot, we got to admit that the Honda Pilot design is a little too matures. Borrowing the design from the Honda Civic will allow the Honda CR-V to come in looking a lot younger.
Based on some of the spy shots we saw, it looks like the Honda CR-V will be borrowing the taillights, headlights and grille from the Civic. Besides that, it will also be riding on the same platform that the Honda Civic is currently riding on.
Honda did not mention anything about the engine but it has been speculated that the Honda CR-V will most likely be coming in with a 1.5 liter VTEC Turbo engine or a 2.0 liter VTEC Turbo engine.
Hopefully, we will be able to see it make its debut at the LA Auto Show this year.
