2017 Honda CR-V: Ditches The Pilot For A Younger Model

As good looking as the Pilot is, it is also a little more matured. That is not necessarily a bad thing but it looks like Honda is looking to go younger when it comes to the design of the Honda CR-V. Instead of designing the Honda CR-V based on the Honda Pilot it looks like the Honda will be designing it based on the Honda Civic instead.

New spy shots seem to suggest that the upcoming Honda CR-V will be coming in with a new grille that will be flanked by a new set of headlights. The taillight in the back will also be upgraded.

Not only will they be borrowing the design but the Honda CR-V will also come riding on the Honda Civic platform. Honda has not announced the engine specs yet but it has been speculated that we might see a 1.5 liter VTEC Turbo engine under the hood or a 2.0 liter VTEC Turbo engine.

We should be seeing the 2017 Honda CR-V at the LA Auto Show this year.
