2017 Honda Civic, Mazda CX-5 & Ford Focus: Less Dependable Every Year

Here is the thing, some automakers pride themselves on being the one that produces vehicles that are dependable but does it matter when the best is still not as good as the older models?

The numbers for the 2017 JD Power Vehicle Dependability Study are out and based on the numbers we are getting this year, it looks like the dependability of the auto industry has been sliding backward.

According to the study, the dependability score for 2015 was 147. In 2016, we got a 152 rating and this year, the rating is 156. With all these new tech and features, you would think that the numbers are going to get better but that is far from what is happening right now.

It seems like the biggest issue right now is the infotainment system, navigation, and in-vehicle communication system. In case you are wondering, both Lexus and Porsche managed to top the list this year.
