2017 Ford GT Gives EcoBoost A Bad Name
With Ford announce that the Ford GT will be coming with an EcoBoost engine, you would think that it will be taking smaller sips of gasoline this time around but according to EPA, the Ford GT might not be as fuel efficient ass we thought it will be.
The 2017 Ford GT will be powered by a 3.5 liter V6 engine and according to Ford, it will be offering about 11mpg in the city, 18mpg on the highway and 14mpg combined. That means the Ford GT will be returning as much as models like the V12 Lamborghini Aventador and V8 Bentley. Both returns about 11mpg in the city and 18mpg on the highway. In fact, it uses up for fuel than the 2005 Ford GT.
It looks like even with the Ecoboost engine, Ford still fails to keep the Ford GT fuel efficient. While that means owners will be paying a hefty tax when they own the Ford GT, we think the Ford GT will still do pretty well when it arrives.
