2017 Ford F-150 Raptor: Loss Of Voice Worth It
One of the biggest upgrade that the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor model will be getting is the new turbo engine. The turbo engine will allow the vehicle to offer more hp and torque and is also lighter. So why are the people unhappy about the upgrade?
Well, going turbo means that the Ford F-150 Raptor will sound gentler now. One of the most distinctive characteristic about the Ford F-150 Raptor is its loud roar and the fans are just unhappy that we won’t be hearing it roar ever again.
In return for losing its voice, the Ford F-150 Raptor will now be offering about 450hp and 510lb ft of torque thanks to the new turbo engine. The previous model delivered about 411hp and 434lb ft of torque.
Not only will it be offering more power but it will also be more fuel efficient now. The Raptor will return about 15mpg in the city and 18mpg on the highway. It was returning about 11mpg in the city and 16mpg on the highway in the past.
