2016 Toyota Prius vs Chevrolet Volt: Who’s Greener

We are all for greener cars now and while both the Chevrolet Volt and the Toyota Prius are seen as some of best green car to own right now especially after the upgrades they both receive, one of them seems to be far more superior than the other when it comes to being green. Do you want to take a guess?

The Toyota Prius was given a brand new exterior design although some would tell you that they would rather have the old and boring design than this new but hideous looking exterior. The Prius will come running on a 4 cylinder hybrid engine that will be delivering about 54mpg in the city and 50mpg on the highway. Those looking to save even more on fuel cost can opt for the Prius Eco which will return about 58mpg in the city and 53mpg on the highway.

As amazing as that sounds, the Prius is nowhere near as fuel efficient as the Chevrolet Volt. Under the hood of the Volt is a plug-in electric hybrid powertrain that will deliver about 52miles of electric range. If you are looking to go further than that, you can fill up the tank and you will be getting 106mpg out of the Volt.of course, you need to know that it takes about 4.5hours to get the Volt charged up.
