2016 Toyota Prius vs Chevrolet Volt: How Green Can You Go

After the huge blunder Toyota made with the design of the Toyota Prius, Toyota really need their fuel economy to be impressive if they want to stay on the top. While the 2016 Toyota Prius does come with an improve fuel economy, the Toyota Prius is far from being the greenest model in the market.

The Toyota Prius will be running on a 4 cylinder hybrid engine. According to Toyota, the standard model will return about 54mpg in the city and 50mpg on the highway. There is also a more fuel efficient Prius Eco model. This model will return about 58mpg in the city and 53mpg on the highway.

As amazing as that sound, it is nothing compared to what the Chevrolet Volt has to offer. The Volt will be coming in with a plug-in hybrid powered that will allow the Volt to run for 53miles on electric alone. If you are planning to go further than that, fill up the tank and you will be getting 106mpg out of the Chevrolet Volt.
