The Mazda CX-5 will be coming in with a 2.0 liter inline 4 engine with four spark plugs that will be mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The engine will be pushing out about 155hp and 150lb ft of torque. The Honda CR-V, on the other hand, will come with a 2.4 liter inline 4 cylinder engine that will be mated to a CVT. The engine will be delivering about 185hp and 181lb ft of torque.
Both Manufacturers recommend use 0W20 or 5W20 oil for 2.0 liter engine only.
The Mazda CX-5 will return about 26mpg in the city and 35mpg on the highway while the Honda CR-V will return about 26mpg in the city and 33mpg on the highway.
