2016 Hyundai Ioniq: What You Need To Know

Set to be the chosen one to go up against the Toyota Prius, the Hyundai Ioniq which was officially unveil not too long ago is looking to best the Prius in terms of looks and drivetrains.

The Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid model will come in with a 1.6 liter naturally aspirated engine that will be paired with a magnetic electric motor to deliver about 151bhp. The engine will be mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission for better performance.

The new hybrid model will also come with a new platform design specifically to hold the new batteries for the electric motors.

Unlike the Prius, the Hyundai Ioniq actually looks good. Not only does it look good but the aerodynamic design will also help improve the overall performance of the vehicle.

It was also reveal that the Korean Hyundai Ioniq will be able to deliver about 63.27mpg although we do not know if the UK spec model will be the same.
