2016 Ford Focus RS: Somebody Went Overboard?

Ford was at the Barrett-Jackson Scottdale 2016 auction last week where they put up the first ever 2016 Ford Focus RS up for auction. While we understand that this is a charity and it is also the first 2016 Ford Focus RS, we still can’t believe that somebody would be willing to fork out $550,000 for a Ford Focus.

The vehicle might be amazing and since this is the first ever 2016 model, it is special but ultimately, this is a Ford we are talking about. Here is what the winner will be getting.

The Ford Focus RS which will be running on a 2.3 liter EcoBoost I-4 engine will come mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The engine will be delivering about 350hp and 350lb ft of torque. On the outside, the vehicle will be fitted with a set of 19inch alloy wheels along with an RS exclusive headlight, grille, fog light and hatch wing.

On the inside, the Ford Focus RS will be fitted with a set of Recaro Sport seats, alloy pedal, and the new Ford Sync 3 infotainment system. Do you think it was worth it?
