2016 Chevrolet Corvette: Better In Real Life

By  |

On paper, the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette does not look like the most attractive model in the market but those that have and look at the Corvette for themselves have admitted that in person, the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette is easily on of the nicest looking more in the market.

In fact, the design is not the only thing Chevrolet has going on for them right now. The Chevrolet Corvette will be coming with a 6.2 liter V8 engine that will be mated to a 7-speed manual transmission. This base model will return about 17mpg in the city and 29mpg on the highway. The model with the auto transmission will return about 16mpg in the city and 29mpg on the highway.

While most people would go for the manual version as they feel like the manual transmission allows them to have more fun with the car, those that have gone auto does not seem to have much to complain about the auto transmission.

What do you think of the new 2016 Chevrolet Corvette?

It’s a lot more car than most buyers will ever use (properly, that is). I attended the Corvette Owners School at Spring Mountain recently, and I was amazed at how much capability the car has. They teach you how to realize this potential in steps, and recognize that not everyone will be able to drive the car at or near the car’s limits. I’ll say, it’s no wonder Chevrolet put in all the computer controlled safeguards to help keep the shiny side up. And that Wide Open Throttle sound is like music to my ears. Just an awesome car, and I’ve owned 8, starting in 1974, so I can attest to the evolution of the species.
