There have been little to no news about the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 after the cloth was taken from the concept. Although Chevrolet did not announce that they will be producing the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, everybody assumes that it was going to happen the moment they showed off the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Concept at the show.
The concept that they showed off comes with a 2.8 liter Duramax turbo diesel four cylinder engine that delivered about 181hp and 169lb ft of torque. The engine was mated to a six-speed transmission but some consumers are hoping that Chevrolet would end up giving it an eight-speed auto transmission at the end of the day.
The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 will be the perfect model for Chevrolet since they will be able to use it to compete with some of the larger trucks in the market. Trucks that are a little out of the standard Colorado’s reach.
There is still no word on whether the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 concept will be getting a greenlight for production or not but sure hope it does.
