2015 MacBook Pro: 4K Resolution & 60Hz Is Possible

Last year, many MacBook Pro users successfully ran their laptop in 4K resolution. However, the image produced is not crisp due to the poor hardware combination. To be more precise, the display became blurry with poor colour contrast.

This year, things are going to be different since the upcoming MacBook Pro is going to be packed with the latest hardwares around. Even if the upcoming MacBook Pro does not come with Intel Skylake, the Broadwell processor is actually enough to operate 4K resolution with ease.

In detail, the Broadwell chips have GPU support output of up to 840×2160 at 60Hz when connected using DisplayPort 1.2. This can be considered as the basic requirements to operate 4K resolution on the upcoming MacBook Pro.

Of course, the monitor is also required to have DisplayPort 1.2 support and 4K resolution. Otherwise, it will be meaningless to achieve 4K display with the upcoming MacBook Pro.
