2015 Ford Edge Review: A Massive Improvement From Before

The next-generation Ford Edge is en route to make its debut next year and it will be a big improvement from its great predecessor. In short, the upcoming Edge will come with new and innovative technologies, which are thought to be exclusive for the luxury market.

Unlike the existing Edge, the successor is built on the same platform that is used by the Ford Fusion. The latter has gotten a lot of praises for its handling and with the new Edge running on the same wavelength; it is expected to get the same applause as well.

As for the design, the upcoming Edge will continue to be a beauty like its predecessor. However, the SUV is going to be more angular than before, while also being bigger and thicker in every way. This will surely protect the interior from the noisy outside.

Speaking of which, the inside of the Edge will be designed with class, even though the materials used are cheap. Also, Ford has equipped the upcoming edge with adaptive heated steering wheel, cooled seats and the new inflatable safety belts for second row seats.

Under the hood, the entry level Edge draws its powers from a 2L Ecoboost engine that returns 24mpg on average driving conditions. Up one level is the AWD 2.7L turbocharged V6 that comes packed with 300hp, while also returning about 22mpg.

Like the previous Edge, we won’t be surprised if the upcoming model becomes a massive hit worldwide. The Ford Edge will be the perfect balance in power, fuel economy and design.
