2014 Kia Sorento Review: Could It Be The Best SUV Around?

Kia is now one of the biggest carmaker in the world and the latest Sorento is the perfect example of their success. Available in both AWD and FWD, the Sorento is truly amazing as it offers tremendous power for an SUV in its stature.

The car can be purchased with either the 2.2L turbo diesel 4-cylinder that produces 145kW and 421Nm or the 3.5L V6 petrol engine that produces 204kW and 335Nm.The engine can achieve 9.8L/100km. The entry level can be purchased for just $37,490, which is rather cheap.

Even when being larger than its predecessors, the Korean engineers have managed to reduce body roll on the Sorento. Also, the spring is really soft to offer the ultimate comfort.

On the downside of things, the Sorento does not steer well. Also, the sports mode only adds in more resistance than speed. Also, it is frustrating to see the old plain analog speedometer. By now, everything should be in digital or at least, modern vintage meter.

All in all, the Sorento is truly an amazing SUV. However, Kia could have offered more, and bag the award for making it the best SUV around. This is a shortcoming in our books.
