Luxury has reached its limit with the latest Audi S8. The car might seem to appeal the rich folks in their golden age but everyone should know that the S8 is faster than the Porsche 911 and more comfortable than the Jaguar.
Retailing from $120,000, the S8 comes with an 8-speed transmission that is mated to the TFSI 4L V8 engine which produces a whopping 520hp and 481-torque. It can speed from knots to 60mph in an amazing 3.9s. However, Audi implied that it managed to achieve 60mph in a matter of 3.4s. If so, then the S8 is just as quick as the Ferrari 458.
The car runs on an AWD system that comes with active sport differential that can split the torque to the front and rear axles. This is truly amazing as it offers the driver a complete control of the S8. The active sport differential is truly the best of German engineering.
The interior is kept neat with all the controls aligning well on the dashboard. Reaching for a button doesn’t require so much effort and the premium materials used makes it a pleasure to drive the S8.
The car comes with tons of features like lane keeping assistance, night vision, Google Earth navigation, a Bang & Olufsen sound system complete with tweeters that raise out of the dash, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
Even for a hefty price of $120,000, the Audi S8 is still considered a steal when compared to the Porsche Panamera Turbo. It looks better and drives faster than its German counterpart.
